Retreat with Swami Yogatmananda Sept. 3-4 10am-4pm
We are happy to announce that our Labor Day weekend retreat with Swami Yogatmananda will take place this year. His subject will be ‘The Practice of the Presence of God by brother Lawrence’. Brother Lawrence was a lay brother in a Carmelite monastery. His state of profound peace attracted many people. His letters and conversations on finding God in the midst of daily life were compiled after his death in the book, The Practice of the Presence of God.
Swami Yogatmananda is the Head Minister of the Vedanta Society of Providence. For many years he has been giving retreats here at Ridgely over the Labor Day weekend.
Due to the ongoing situation with Covid, we will be limiting this retreat to 30 people each day. You must sign up to attend. You can email gitaprana@ridgely.org or call 845 687-4574 to register. As space will be limited, please don’t wait until the last minute to register.
Our usual Covid restrictions will apply:
You must be vaccinated and boosted
Masks are required inside at all times
A negative Covid test is required if you are going to stay overnight
If, on the day of the retreat, you don’t feel well, please stay home
Unfortunately we won’t be able to live stream this retreat as the internet capacity in our classroom is downright bad. Our intention to upgrade has been sidetracked because of more pressing maintenance issues here at the retreat.
Retreat with Swami Sarvadevananda Sept. 15 10am-4pm
Swami Sarvadevananda will return to Ridgely for the first time since the pandemic began Sept. 13-15. He will give a retreat on Sept. 15, subject to be announced.
We will limit this retreat to 30 people. You must sign up to attend. See the restrictions and info above.
We hope to see you at one or both of these retreats!
